The Ulmer Auto Group has grown from automotive roots in north-western Saskatchewan, stretching back to 1916. Some highlights in our history:
1916- George and Andrew Boyd found Boyd Brothers Ltd., a General Motors Dealership
1941- The Ulmer family first becomes involved in the automotive business when Joe Ulmer joins the Parts Department of Boyd Bros. Mr. Ulmer becomes General Manager in 1955 and Dealer Principal in 1973.
1974- Doug Umler starts at Boyd Chevrolet and becomes Dealer Principal in 1983.
1980- Ross Ulmer joins the North Battleford dealership.
1984- A new building is constructed on Highway #4 North Battleford for Ulmer Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cadillac Ltd.-- In 2010, it became North Battleford Hyundai (#1.)
1986- (#2.) Rainbow Toyota in North Battleford
1987- Doug and Ross purchase the Chev. Olds dealership in Lloydminster, and Ross becomes Dealer Principal of Ross Ulmer Chevrolet Oldsmobile Ltd., operating now as Ulmer Chevrolet Cadillac (Lloydminster.) (#3)
1993- (#4.) Silverwood Toyota in Lloydminster
1995- (#5.) Eagle Creek Chevrolet GMC in Meadow Lake
1997- (#6.) College Park GM in Vermilion, Alberta and (#7.) Unity Motor Products
2001- (#8.) Lethbridge Toyota
2002- (#9.) Westridge Pontiac Buick GMC Ltd. in Lloydminster
2007- (#10.) Stampede Motor Products
2008- (#11.) Lloydminster Nissan opened its doors in late June, 2008
2008- (#12) Lloydminster Honda opened its doors in late May, 2008.
2009- (#12.) Drayton Valley Toyota
2010- (#13.) Cochrane Dodge (#14.) Lloydminster Hyundai
